Come celebrate the arrival of autumn at the Harvest Frolic — a beloved annual tradition at Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site. The event is free and open to the public and takes place across both the Lincoln and Sargent farms, filling the grounds with music, crafts, food, and the sights and sounds of 19th-century rural life.
Activities include children's crafts, food preservation demonstrations, and hearth cooking. Artisans from across the region demonstrate a wide range of traditional skills throughout the weekend.
Demonstrations begin at 10 am each day on both the Lincoln and Sargent farms, with scheduled events running throughout the day.
Saturday, September 26
Hearth cooking and artisan demonstrations will take place on both farms beginning at 10 am. On the Sargent Farm, Unreconstructed String Band will be playing, and visitors are encouraged to participate in vintage base ball games throughout the day — as well as cornhusk dolls and activities for the kids! At the Lincoln Farm, Ancient Athletics will be performing feats of strength and visitors are encouraged to participate in candle dipping, operating an antique apple cider press, and food preservation. “President Lincoln” and family will greet visitors on both farms.
