Education Programs

Abe Lincoln visits with children during one of LLC's school programs.

Lincoln Log Cabin offers education programs geared toward all ages. Our most popular program is the Fifth Grade Live-In. Classes arrive at the site and are transported back in time to the year 1845. The girls wear dresses and aprons while the boys don 1840s shirts. They go about their day performing duties and chores typical on an 1840s farm: The girls prepare the meal while the boys muck barns, tend to crops, and saw wood. The afternoon is spent playing period games.

If you are interested in this program, call the site at (217) 345-1845 to place your name on the waiting list.
